Hypnotherapy and counselling for weight loss is not based on deprivation or food replacement like many diets are. It is designed to help re-program your attitude to food and find out where your current attitudes came from so you eat healthily and take pride in looking after yourself. Therapy helps you identify and accept the current programming of your subconscious and look at where it came from so you can understand your current situation and stop blaming yourself!

The first thing we need to ascertain is how much weight you need to lose (if any!). Many doctors go by BMI (Body Mass Index) as an indicator.  BMI is calculated like this:

  •  Height x Height = Result
  •  Result / Weight = BMI

Your BMI should be between 20 and 25. Over 30 is seen as medically obese.

It is important to note that many are of the opinion that BMI is out of date, you may prefer to go to your doctor and have a full check-up so you are clear on what is your ideal healthy weight.

At Cloud9 we talk together about the root of your weight issues, then therapy is designed based on your own personal experiences. A trained therapist can use the hypnotic state to change the behaviour of the client to their benefit, including overeating and unhealthy eating. Counselling is used in conjunction with this therapy so you can explain the issues you feel are affecting your weight, we can then look at these issues, where they stem from, and then this information is used to design the best therapy possible.
