Cancellations: If for any reason I have to cancel a session I will offer you an alternative time and day immediately. Notice of cancellation by the client must be given in at least 48 hours notice. In an instance where no or insufficient notice is given on your part, I reserve the right to charge £10 for the first instance and 50% of the session fee for further instances. You will not be charged for appointments missed due to illness provided you give me at least 24 hours’ notice. In the event of a serious accident, emergency, or other similar situation outside your control, please deal with your situation first and notify me at the earliest convenient time, or I will follow up with you typically within 24 to 48 hours of the missed appointment. All appointments missed when insufficient notice has not been given will be invoiced and must be paid within 14 days.
Reducing missed appointments is the most effective method for us to maintain low client session fees. To help avoid missed appointments please make a note of your appointment in a diary.
Refund Policy: Refunds are not available. Sessions that are pre-booked and paid for in advance are done so with the understanding from the client that they will be used. If a session is missed, there is a 30 day period within which the missed session can be used. If a session is booked and the client is unable to attend, there is a 30 day period where the client can re-book and use the session. If the client pre-books counselling and does not attend for 30 days where sessions are still available to be used up, the sessions expire. However, this is flexible and with the counsellor’s discretion sessions may be used after 30 days, this includes via phone and / or email counselling if the client cannot attend.
