Anxiety: We all suffer with Anxiety from time to time, but when Anxiety becomes a problem counselling helps you develop the coping mechanisms to deal with the situations that cause it, meaning you live a happier and more fulfilling life. More people than you could ever imagine suffer with anxiety, from those with anxiety or panic disorders to those with phobias and fears to those who just seem to feel anxious all the time. Panic: You’ve probably heard the term “fight or flight” – fear is an emotion we experience as a primitive survival mechanism so when a predator appears we are prepared to run or to fight to survive. Often referred to as a panic attack, physical and emotional symptoms include shortness of breath, heart palpitations, extreme fear and feeling powerless or out of control.  

General Anxiety Disorder: GAD can be a debilitating condition and although many sufferers believe they are alone in their suffering, this condition has seen an increase as we are faced with more and more stressful situations. Sufferers experience excessive anxiety and worry about a number of activities and difficulty controlling the worry.

Anxiety affects sufferers mentally, socially and physically. You may feel like you don’t know how to feel “normal” anymore but with the right therapy you can feel normal again. Anxiety and Panic disorders are all to do with mindset, many people believe it’s inherited and genetic so they can’t get better, this is absolutely not true! You have more control than you think.
